Susan O’Neill joined delegates from 46 countries at the World Summit on Arts Education, hosted by the World Alliance for Arts Education (WAAE), the International Network for Research in Arts Education (INRAE), and ACEnet, the Network of civil servants working in the field of Arts and Cultural Education. The overall aims of the Summit were to encourage dialogue and develop partnerships between research, advocacy and policy/government groups and to identify transnational research developing from the UNESCO Seoul Agenda concerning access to quality arts education and the social/cultural benefits of arts education around the world.
Susan O’Neill gave a Pecha Kucha presentation, which is a similar format as a “Lightening Talk” and allows for 20 slides shown for 20 seconds each (for a total talk of 6 minutes and 40 seconds). Her talk was titled “Conceptions of Artistic Learning Through Dialogue”.
